When ever you use `man`, it askes which version to show. Most of the time this is annoying. To define a default version put the following code into your config files

.bashrc

 MAN_POSIXLY_CORRECT=1
 export MAN_POSIXLY_CORRECT

.cshrc

 setenv MAN_POSIXLY_CORRECT 1
